Salesforce announced hundreds of updates and changes that add up to an entirely new way of using AI. Our overall impression? Everything they showed was inevitable, they just got there before anyone else. If you think about everything Salesforce has done over the years, there's really no reason for it to be any other way.
Here’s what struck us as being most important to our clients and their customers.
Agentforce has taken on a new life.
Salesforce has expanded Agentforce capabilities in some pretty amazing ways. It used to be almost a widget within Salesforce. Now it spans the entire platform. It’s embedded into products, which changes how you use them every day. It feels like you’re working in your Inbox, not in Salesforce. Big shift.
Agentforce 360 unites all Salesforce clouds.
Now agents can communicate with each other across Salesforce clouds. You can use your own LLM, and Salesforce offers over 300 industry-specific agents. We got a peek at the road map—it will be really exciting to see this one at Dreamforce next year.
Agentforce Vibes has a natural language interface.
You tell Vibes what to do. Vibes does it. Tell it what you need to know, and it builds the report and dashboard for you. No more dragging and dropping or clicking through. It works for implementations, supporting automation and enhancements, and building components, which makes it easier to deploy and manage Salesforce tools.
Key takeaway: This shifts the conversation from building bots to enabling people to use them. This one really needed to happen to attract people who maybe weren’t interested in the live chat channel that Salesforce offered before.
Data 360 is now the intelligent core of Salesforce AI.
It’s the intelligence layer for agents, feeding real-time insights into Slack and Agentforce apps. Basically, it puts a web UI/UX on your first-party data. Keep your proprietary AI algorithms, tools, first-party analytics, and reporting tools, plus you don’t have to duplicate data or store it anywhere else, or in a CRM or a CDP.
Salesforce is now an ITSM player.
The main keynote featured their work with FedEx, with Marc Benioff and Richard Smith, Jr. telling the story. They’re using Slack as the agentic interface with an ITSM layer on top of Service Cloud plus the relaunched Data Cloud 360 and its embedded agentic layer. If you already have these clouds, then you won’t have to buy another ITSM product like Service Now—a brilliant set of moves overall.
Salesforce now powers IT and HR.
This builds on newer, more powerful versions of Slack and Vibes to give companies the same 360-degree view of their employees that they have of their customers. It's not about the tasks it can do—it's about creating transparent, enthusiastic cultures to enable remote work. Call it Employee 360. Speaking of tasks, the list is impressive. What’s your PTO balance? Employee 360 finds out. Need to interview people remotely, find out about benefit elections, onboard people, or upskill them? Employee 360 does it in one click with Agentforce guiding the journeys. It can also handle questions about pay and benefits, store staffing, occupancy, even sales, but culture is the real win here.
The Agentforce Supply chain solution
The Regrello acquisition didn’t get enough press. It turns unstructured data into structured, automated workflows, so integrating it with Agentforce and Slack helps to automate manual tasks. This matters because the lack of governance for unstructured data is an issue everywhere we look. Regrello isn’t quite governance in a box, but it’s close. Look for it to be a BPA game changer in supply chain, inventory management, and predictive maintenance. We’re keeping a very close eye on this one, especially the pilot at Dell.
Slack is now the command hub.
Salesforce added more capability to Slack. Now it’s a collaboration platform powered by Agentforce, which makes it the entry point into agentic experiences within the Salesforce environment. The big change is for users—now they can work directly within Slack and leverage Salesforce tools like Microsoft lets you do with Teams.
Other Salesforce Updates
- They’re working with OpenAI to bring ChatGPT-powered data integration and a new Instant Checkout feature for commerce.
- They’re also working with Anthropic on smarter AI models for regulated industries, and with Google to make Gemini available inside Agentforce.
- Salesforce introduced fresh data tools, including Intelligent Context, which can now handle unstructured data, and MuleSoft Agent Fabric for easier orchestration between agents.
Bonus Item
So many things have been renamed that renaming now has its own site: https://renameforce.com/. The ticker is especially helpful.
We're watching all of these developments closely, and we’ll keep you posted on what we learn.
