Situation

Our client is a large entertainment company with venues across the UK and online. However, the entire customer experience was disjointed and causing customer churn.

Data efficiency surges with platform modernization

The new platform gives a 360-degree customer view, driving consumer insights for a personalized customer experience.

The company’s legacy data platform was fragmented, with no single source of truth. Licensing and maintenance costs for legacy technologies was high. Data quality and metadata issues impacted operations and efficiency. There was no data governance policies and data strategy in place.

Our client wanted to give customers a personalized experience across all channels and touchpoints. A digital transformation was needed to modernize platforms, architecture, and systems.

Action

We built new architecture to provide a next gen data platform that will manage and use data as an asset. Working with our client’s teams to understand their digital transformation goals, we architected the platform to scale and delivered immediate ROI.

We prioritized migration from the legacy platform to the new Centralized Engagement Platform (CEP) two months ahead of decommission timelines, saving annual licensing and maintenance costs.

The modern platform includes a 360-degree customer view, and data and analytics foundation that will drive consumer insights and allow for a more personalized customer experience.

We collaborated with Databricks to build a cloud-agnostic architecture on Databricks Lakehouse platform. In addition, we extended last mile support for Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)/Power BI dashboard migration on the CEP platform.

Data security was implemented using encryption/decryption framework to handle sensitive data. A data governance tool was utilized for data management, lineage, and the data quality framework for platform enablement.

With the new platform, leadership can now move at the speed of business on new offerings and strategies for growth.
