ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, the Fullstack React Engineer is a member of a
small team responsible for the coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of the
Web application, various microsites and landing pages, and assisting with the
development of email templates.
This role requires excellent collaboration skills and strong knowledge of responsive web design
principles and development standards, React/NextJS, HTML5, CSS3 and TypeScript.
Experience with GraphQL, PHP, SQL, Figma, and Photoshop are also assets.
Key Responsibilities
? Work with Product Design and Content Designers to code, test, and launch promotional and educational materials and other digital corporate web properties/collateral. Projects/assignments include:
? Develop Websites/portals/landing pages using React/NextJS, Typescript, HTML/CSS, CSS-in-JS (Styled-Components), Bootstrap 5.0+/Tailwind, and vanilla Javascript.
? Code HTML/XHTML table-based layouts for emails using Courier.
? Assist in cross-platform/browser testing of coded creatives using BrowserStack.
? As a member of the Web Engineering Team, contribute to build-run ownership of the web application and various other microsites and landing pages.
? Code, test, and deploy changes to the web application using AWS CodePipeline, and GitHub CI/CD.
? Participate in monitoring and incident response.
? Create and maintain clean and performant markup that follows current industry best practices.
? Improve and maintain high frontend performance metrics for all of our web properties (ie. FCP, LCP, TTI, TBT, etc.)
? Maintain corporate brand integrity by adhering to brand and style guidelines provided by the Product Design and Brand team.
? Work collaboratively and professionally with all team members and demonstrate strong listening and communication skills.
Job Qualifications
? Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative/technical fi eld (e.g. Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering). ? 5+ years of relevant experience in UI development in ReactJS, NextJS, Redux, or related frameworks.
? Solid understanding of responsive web design and related development techniques
? Strong HTML5, CSS3, CSS Animation, React/Javascript skills
? Experience working with REST APIs to implement simple web apps (e.g., form
? submissions, database analysis, CRM analysis)
? Familiarity with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (ie.Photoshop)
? The ability to use development and debugging tools for cross-browser testing
? The ability to write code inside multiple frameworks
? The ability to write code that will render the same web/email properties across all major email clients and web browsers
? Willingness for continual learning of new frontend and backend development techniques and best practices as product and business requirements evolve
