Key Responsibilities

Accessibility Validation & Testing

• Perform accessibility audits on legacy HTML pages and newly migrated Contentstack CMS pages.

• Validate compliance with WCAG 2.1 / 2.2 (Level A & AA) standards.

• Conduct both automated and manual accessibility testing.

• Test across multiple browsers, devices, and assistive technologies.

Migration Support

• Create accessibility checklists based on original HTML implementations.

• Compare accessibility features between legacy and CMS-generated pages.

• Identify regressions introduced during migration.

• Ensure reusable CMS components/templates meet accessibility requirements.

Tools & Techniques

• Use automated tools such as axe, Lighthouse, WAVE, Siteimprove, or Accessibility Insights.

• Perform manual testing using:

• Keyboard navigation

• Screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver)

• Zoom and contrast testing

• Validate ARIA roles, labels, semantic HTML, headings, alt text, focus order, and color contrast.

Collaboration & Reporting

• Work with Developers, CMS Authors, Designers, and QA teams to remediate issues.

• Log defects in tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.).

• Provide detailed accessibility reports and recommendations.

• Participate in design and template reviews to prevent future issues.

Documentation & Governance

• Maintain accessibility standards documentation and checklists.

• Contribute to accessibility best practices for CMS components.

• Support internal audits and compliance reviews.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS, ARIA, and semantic markup

• Understanding of WCAG 2.1/2.2, Section 508, ADA compliance

• Experience with accessibility testing tools

• Familiarity with Contentstack or similar headless CMS platforms

• Basic JavaScript knowledge for DOM inspection and debugging

• Manual and automated accessibility testing

• Cross-browser and cross-device testing

• Defect lifecycle management
