Network Engineer (Lead) with skills for location Los Gatos, California, US
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is for Networking Systems Engineer.
Develop dashboards and configure alerts for proactive monitoring and review the network and application health at granular level.
Analyze and quantify new requirements to meet the growing demands of network capacity for application/platform users.
Implement access controls, data encryption, and secure network protocols.
Document changes to high level technical designs, system architecture based on the new requirements.
Design solution meeting requirements like scalability, security, reliability, performance, etc. Create technical specs with all the network elements involved, and create Bill of Materials (BoM)
Develop network diagrams, documentation, and standard operating procedures.
Provide high-level estimations for different milestones using work break down structure approach and review with team.
Lead implementation & deployment responsibility and ensure high quality deliverable.
Work with different point of presence and data centre technicians across the globe for Network and Optical gear installation.
Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
Test the performance and functionality of Network, Optical gear and applications performance.
Work with Internal ticket systems for day-to-day ticket resolution/updates.
Work on Network performance issues related to Applications, Network and Optical gear..
Work with Principal vendor TAC (Technical Assistance Center) & HTTS (High Touch Technical Support) teams of Network and Optical gear principal vendors.
Assist in cloud migration planning, deployment, and optimization.
Ensure systems comply with relevant IT policies, regulations, and cybersecurity frameworks
Closely work with audit team for reviewing processes followed and improving quality.
Work with team on taking steps to reduce defects identified, presenting vendor’s documents required to summarize and convey to management about the ongoing activities, deliveries etc.
Preparing Weekly and Monthly review reports for performance analysis.
Participate in web sessions to get the updates about the upcoming network products.
Respond and resolve network and system outages, performance issues, and service requests.
Job Requirements: Required Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, MIS, Engineering (Any), or any related field + 5 years of experience in the job offered, Systems Engineer, Network Engineer, Transmission Engineer or related. Travel may be required to various unanticipated client sites throughout the US.

Salary Range: $218,171.00/ Year to $225,000.00/Year.
