ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
Own and govern OS and third-party application patching strategy across cloud environments
Lead security vulnerability remediation in alignment with compliance and audit requirements
Own backup, restore, and disaster recovery (DR) strategy, testing, and readiness
Drive incident management, deep troubleshooting, and root cause analysis (RCA) for production issues
Define and maintain operational SOPs, onboarding guides, and runbooks
Oversee ServiceNow (SNOW) workflows, forms, and operational integrations
Ensure CMDB accuracy, reporting, and cloud inventory governance
Govern AMI lifecycle management, standards, and compliance
Own CloudWatch (CW) and SSM agent strategy, updates, and observability standards
Drive AWS Config rules, audits, and compliance reporting
Review and approve documentation, architecture flows, and operational diagrams
Manage quota governance, escalation, and optimization
Lead TAG strategy, cost optimization, and capacity planning
Mentor engineers and act as escalation point for critical cloud operations issues
Skills & Qualifications
Strong hands-on and architectural knowledge of AWS cloud services
Proven experience in OS patching, vulnerability management, and security compliance frameworks
Solid understanding of ITSM processes, ServiceNow, and CMDB governance
Experience with monitoring and observability platforms (CloudWatch, logs, metrics, alerts)
Strong expertise in backup, restore, and disaster recovery planning
Excellent problem-solving, RCA, and stakeholder communication skills
Ability to lead operations in high-pressure, production-critical environments
