Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager – Infrastructure to lead and manage enterprise infrastructure projects across both on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in infrastructure technologies such as Virtual Machines, Networking, Microsoft 365, servers, storage, and cloud platforms, combined with proven project management capabilities. This role requires ownership of project delivery, stakeholder coordination, technical oversight, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Delivery

• Lead end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.

• Manage projects involving on-premises infrastructure, cloud migration, hybrid environments, and modernization initiatives.

• Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

• Track project progress, manage risks, and ensure delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.

• Establish governance frameworks, reporting structures, and project documentation.

Infrastructure & Technical Oversight

• Manage deployment and migration of infrastructure components including:

  • Virtual Machines (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure VM, AWS EC2)

  • Servers (Windows Server, Linux)

  • Storage and backup systems

  • Networking (LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, DNS, load balancers)

  • Identity systems (Active Directory, Azure AD / Entra ID)

  • Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)

• Oversee cloud infrastructure projects across platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

• Support hybrid infrastructure integration between on-prem and cloud environments.

• Ensure infrastructure design aligns with security, scalability, performance, and compliance standards.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Coordinate with internal teams including Infrastructure, Security, Application, and Operations teams.

• Act as the primary point of contact for customers, leadership, and technical stakeholders.

• Provide regular status updates, executive summaries, and risk mitigation plans.

Operational Excellence & Compliance

• Ensure infrastructure projects comply with organizational standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.

• Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and high availability planning.

• Drive process improvement and standardization of infrastructure project delivery.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of:

  • Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)

  • Cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP acceptable)

  • Enterprise networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, routing, firewalls)

  • Microsoft 365 ecosystem

  • Active Directory, identity, and access management

  • Server infrastructure (Windows/Linux)

  • Backup, disaster recovery, and high availability concepts

• Experience managing infrastructure migrations (on-prem to cloud, data center migration, M365 migration).

Project Management Skills

• Proven experience managing complex infrastructure projects.

• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).

• Experience with project management tools (Microsoft Project, Jira, ServiceNow, or similar).

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

• 7+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years in infrastructure project management.

• Experience managing both on-premises and cloud infrastructure projects.

Preferred Certifications

• PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2

• Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, or equivalent)

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (optional)

• ITIL Certification

• VMware certification (optional)
