Infogain has always prioritized diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) as more than just words. They are the guiding principles that illuminate our path forward, ensuring that we leave no one behind. As the Chief People Officer, it is my honor to lead a journey where every step brings us closer to an inclusive future. It is this shared vision that has driven us to embrace the essence of inclusivity and acceptance. Our recognition of being among India’s Top 25 Best Workplaces in DEIB for 2024 by the Great Place to Work® Institute is a testament to this greater cause and initiative.
This recognition feels like standing atop a mountain after a long and rewarding climb. The air is crisp, the view ahead is clear, but more than that, there’s a realization that the journey, our DEI journey, has brought us here, and there is so much more ahead. Like an uncharted path in a dense forest, diversity presents both challenges and hidden treasures. It takes curiosity, empathy, and collective effort to explore the unknown and uncover the beauty of varied perspectives.
At Infogain, we talk about building bridges instead of walls. DEI is that bridge – one that connects talent from all walks of life, ensuring everyone’s voice is heard, everyone’s abilities are recognized, and everyone has a space to thrive. And just as no two people are the same, no two days in this DEI journey have been alike. Each day brings new insights, new stories, and new opportunities to grow together.
Our Philosophy: Beyond Boundaries
At Infogain, our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is rooted in the belief that innovation flourishes when we bring diverse voices together. We have cultivated a workplace where equality and inclusion are not just goals but standards, we uphold every day. Like a thriving ecosystem where each element plays a vital role, we ensure that individuals from all backgrounds, regardless of gender, race, ability, or orientation—are empowered to succeed and thrive.
Our DEI journey is built on four foundational pillars: Educate, Engage, Empathize, and Expect accountability. These pillars guide every step we take, ensuring that inclusivity remains at the core of our organization. Whether we are educating our workforce, engaging employees in meaningful conversations, fostering empathy, or holding ourselves accountable, these pillars serve as the compass that directs our continuous efforts to create an inclusive and equitable future for all.
Our Path So Far:
In the past year, we’ve planted seeds of change that have blossomed into remarkable outcomes:
- Inclusive Hiring: We’ve made deliberate efforts to bring in more women and differently-abled individuals, creating a workforce where everyone belongs. Our all-women engineering batch from diverse cities exemplifies how different roots can come together to nurture a common goal.
- Supportive Policies: We’ve expanded health coverage to include LGBTQ+ members and introduced flexible work options, ensuring that our policies provide a solid foundation for everyone to grow, much like how deep roots stabilize a tree.
- Allyship & Awareness: Our allyship and inclusion workshops have helped us trim the weeds of unconscious bias, enabling us to create a clear pathway for everyone to flourish.
- Celebrating Differences: Through Pride celebrations and Women’s Day events, we’ve continuously watered the seeds of diversity, making sure they have the sunlight and nutrients to thrive.
Looking Ahead: Continuing the Journey
But as any gardener knows, cultivating an inclusive culture is not a one-time effort. It requires constant care, attention, and adaptation. This recognition motivates us to continue our efforts in creating a workplace where diversity is celebrated, equity is guaranteed, and inclusion is lived every day. We have only scratched the surface of what’s possible, and as we climb higher, I am excited about the discoveries we will make together.
We would like to thank each of our Infogainers for their commitment to building a workplace where we all grow together. We will continue to bloom, not just for us, but for everyone who joins us on this journey.
