Job Description: Sr. Snowflake Engineer
Overview
The Sr. Snowflake Engineer will design, develop, and optimize scalable data solutions to support analytics and business intelligence across the organization. This role focuses on building robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and enabling efficient, secure access to data within Snowflake.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake.
• Develop and optimize data models, including star/snowflake schemas.
• Write, review, and optimize complex SQL for performance and reliability.
• Implement data ingestion processes for batch and real-time data.
• Monitor and tune Snowflake performance, cost, and resource utilization.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and access controls.
• Collaborate with analytics, BI, and engineering teams to deliver data solutions.
• Troubleshoot data issues and support ongoing platform enhancements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Strong experience with Snowflake architecture and data warehousing concepts.
• Advanced SQL skills, including performance tuning and query optimization.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g.,Talend, ADF).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Python or similar scripting languages.
• Knowledge of data modeling, governance, and security best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Experience within QSR, restaurant, or retail environments preferred.
