DBA Administrator (Senior) with skills Database Administrator, Oracle DBA, SQL Server DBA, Azure SQL DBA for location Pune, India
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties/ Roles and Responsibilities
· Resolving the tickets depends on the Priority levels within the SLA.
· Scheduling Full, Differential and T-log Backups for the user and system databases on the cloud (blob) storage.
· Implementation of effective Indexing methods to boost the database performances.
· Regularly checks fragmentation percentage and rebuild the indexes, update stats, and Shrink database at regular intervals for better performance as a preventive maintenance activity across all the database servers.
· Automate reports to monitor the Disk spaces, databases' health status and backup status across all database servers.
· Configure and support database Log shipping and Mirroring as a disaster recovery plan on different cloud environments.
· Schedule automated reports to know the status of the data synchronization between source and destination servers without any manual checks.
· Good to have the knowledge to Implement encrypted SQL backups technique for servers.
· Good to have the knowledge to Implement the Bitlocker drive mechanism on servers for SQL backups.
· Query and System Performance Troubleshooting
· Scheduling Alerts and Jobs Using SQL Server Agent, going through Alerts and Error Logs.
· Experience in Database Migration from on-prem to Azure.
· Experience of Azure Service deployments -Azure cosmosDB, PostgresSQL,
MySQL,ADF,Storage,Automation
· Hands-on in Multi-subnet HADR deployments & troubleshooting
· Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cosmos DB
Skills
· MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) and Azure Certified preferred.
· Should have proficiency in SQL Server (2012,2014,2017,2019 etc) Configuration and Administration.
· Must have experience with NoSQL Document DB.
· Strong analytical skills for problem-solving database-related issues.
· Knowledge of Migration Service and Tools like DMA/DMS/SSMA etc
· Knowledge of MySQL/Postgres SQL (Secondary).
