Shashank joined Apax in 2004 in London, where he specialized in Tech & Telecom deals. He has led or participated Apax deals including Infogain, Azentio, Fractal Analytics, Healthium MedTech, Manappuram Finance, Zensar Technologies, Shriram City Union Finance, Chola, GlobalLogic, iGATE, Apollo Hospitals, TIM Hellas, Weather Investments, TDC, Bezeq, and Synetrix. He is a Partner and Head of the India office, having helped to start it in 2007.

He has an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MA in economics from Cambridge University and a BA (Honours) from St. Stephen’s College (University of Delhi). Prior to joining Apax, he was a strategy consultant with Monitor Company, where he advised clients in the telecoms and high technology sectors.
