Experience: 5+ Years of Experience in Database Administration for Oracle and SQL databases of over 50GB size on 24x7 operational setup. 3+ Years as APPS DBA is essential.
Skill Set:
Oracle and/or SQL Server Database administration Expert Level
Experience in Oracle APPS (Financials, CRM, HRMS etc)
Hands-on for Oracle 10gAS (required)
Oracle RAC expert level
Performance tuning, data security and integrity, capacity management and DB change management
Experience in installing, migrating, upgrading and applying patches for Oracle and SQL databases
Backup/Recovery using RMAN and user managed backup
Experience with production database environment support is crucial
Sybase Database Administration. (Added value)
Understanding of Storage technologies related to Database requirements
Sound knowledge in Oracle Enterprise Manager (Preferable).
Sound Knowledge in HP-OV monitoring tools (Added value).
Sound knowledge in UNIX scripting and Administration.
Sound knowledge in Windows Server Administration.
Strong emphasis to follow process, procedures and ability to do technical documentation on Database operational procedures and policies.
Sound knowledge in ITIL methodologies (Added value).
Provide 24x7 on-call support for Database administration for all production database environments.
Minimum Qualifications:
Diploma in computer science/Information Technology OR.
Bachelors degree in computer/Information Technology (Preferable).
Masters degree in computers (Optional).
Competencies:
Oracle Database Certified Profession-OCP (Must)
Oracle Application Server Certified Professional (Preferred)
Oracle Applications Certified Professional (Added value)
MS-SQL Certification (Preferred)
